I’ll start from afar. As you know, our site lives on banner advertising. We don’t ask you for money, we don’t sell premium accounts, we don’t demand so many rubles for watching this or that video. And now we come to the streams. Live broadcasts are the youngest direction on the site. And our task is to make sure that as many viewers as possible come to the broadcasts. If this doesn’t happen, there won’t be any streams at all. They will simply have their budget cut and there will be no blog streams on the main page or broadcasts from eSports events. And regular streams will simply disappear.
World of Tanks is the most popular online game in Russia. She has a huge community. And we began to interact with him, we began to attract people “from the tanks” to streams on StopGame. And broadcasts on WoT are record-breaking. No other streams are watched by so many people. Let me emphasize: no others. That’s why we make them.
And now the most important thing. World of Tanks broadcasts never affected the total number of broadcasts for other games. We have a limit of 8 streams per month (sometimes 6, again, it all depends on the budget). If we have broadcasts on WoT, if we don’t have them, there will still be 8 streams on other games. Exactly how and if we manage to broadcast on Point Blank, “The Seventh Element” and other MMOs, where we agree with the publisher to advertise our broadcast.
We understand very well that part of the SG community does not play World of Tanks. We don’t force her to watch these broadcasts. Moreover, we have never removed the alternative.
